Lecidella asema – Buff to yellow grey, thick, granulose thallus limited by black prothallus. Black fruiting bodies up to 1mm. diam. Immersed in thallus without margins and said to resemble lumps of coal floating in milky coffee (F.Dobson). K+yellow, C+orange. Common on well lit hard siliceous rocks in supralittoral.
